The significance of the old song, “What the World Needs Now Is Love,” remains as pertinent today as it did when it was introduced over fifty years ago. Thoughts, words, and deeds add either love or nonlove. These energies affect our lives.
More than two decades ago, expressions of non-love (disrespect, deceit, prejudice, hatred, greed, dishonor and so on) overtook love. Unconditional love is mutual respect without expectations, not in a false admiration or feigned sense, but as an expression of empathic understanding, as Mother Teresa modeled.
Love is added when it is exhibited, as well as when it is imagined. For example, love can be visualized, radiating from one’s heart, blooming, entirely filling a person’s body. When fully engulfed. Afterward, see love flowing into larger and larger expanses throughout the world.
This practice also adds positive energies to a person’s aura, which routinely affects their life in the same way supportive thoughts, gratefulness, and acts of kindness do. Further, the love that is generated by any size gathering of people (two or more) expands exponentially.
